From stone to silhouette, This design started as a spark inside the Thanjavur Periya Kovil. That ancient Prānala, carved from a single block of granite, curves like moving water… and I couldn’t stop staring at it. So every line you see in these sketches… every pleat… every controlled curve… is a translation of 1000-year-old Chola engineering into modern couture for children. The form-finding sketches capture how the Prānala bends. The silhouette studies show how the flow of stone becomes the flow of silk. And the final render? That’s where heritage becomes wearable. This isn’t just a gown. It’s a piece of architecture — draped onto the next generation.
