When the pride of Indra rose high, he sent storms and thunder to test the faith of the villagers. The rains did not stop, and the hearts of men trembled. Yet Shri Krishna, with the smile of compassion, lifted Govardhan with a single finger, not to defy Indra, but to show that no power stands above Dharma and surrender. Beneath that mountain, the people found not just safety from the storm, but the shelter of His grace. The same play unfolds within us. The "villagers" are the jivatma, the soul caught in the storm of illusion and fear. And Krishna, the Paramatma, is the eternal refuge within. When the ego of the mind rages like Indra, it is only through surrender that the soul finds peace. In His shelter, both storm and pride lose their hold, and the heart rests fearless, free, and one with Him. Jai Shri Krishna
