Dear policymakers, institution builders, investors, founders, and everyone shaping India's digital future—this one's for you! A few days ago, I watched the incredible Made in India story of Titan Company Limited Watches. A recommendation by Amit Karna in one of our class at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad What stayed with me wasn't just the story of a watch company. It was the story of conviction. When the Tata Group entered an industry dominated for centuries by Swiss watchmakers, they challenged a global benchmark. They achieved excellence not through shortcuts, but through patience, perseverance, consistency, craftsmanship, and an unwavering belief that an Indian company could build something the world would respect. Today, Titan is more than a successful brand—it is an institution. As I watched that journey unfold, I reflected on the journey we're building with Hind Social. The digital world shapes conversations, communities, culture, and identity. Yet the platforms influencing over a billion Indians have largely been built outside India. Even more concerning, nearly 40% of the world's languages are endangered. When a language disappears, we lose stories, traditions, collective wisdom, and the identity of entire communities. The platforms we build today will help decide what survives and what is forgotten. At Hind Social , we're building more than another social platform, an indigenous digital home where India's languages, communities, and cultural narratives can thrive for generations. We know this isn't the easy path. We're competing with some of the world's largest technology companies. But Titan reminds us that transformative institutions aren't built because they're easy. They're built because someone believed they were necessary. As India enters its next phase of technological leadership, I hope our ambition extends beyond being the world's largest consumer of digital products. I hope we become a nation that builds globally respected digital institutions. That journey requires founders with conviction, investors with patience, mentors who build ecosystems, and policymakers who continue enabling Indian innovation. To leaders and institutions working towards India's digital future—Ashwini Vaishnaw, MeitY Startup Hub, Digital India Corporation, IndiaAI, and leaders like Nandan Nilekani, Amitabh Kant —thank you for creating an ecosystem. If Titan changed how the world viewed Indian manufacturing, perhaps the next generation of Indian startups can redefine digital platforms while preserving India's cultural heritage. As we still write the initial chapters of Hind Social, we have faith that every institution that changed India was once an improbable idea backed by people who refused to stop believing. 🇮🇳 Here's to building institutions—not just startups. Here's to building for generations, not just valuations. #MadeInIndia #HindSocial #DigitalIndia #BuildInIndia #IndianTech #Innovation #StartupIndia #FounderJourney
