Dev Diwali is a significant Hindu festival celebrating Lord Shiva's victory over the demon Tripurasura, a triumph of good over evil. The festival, also called Tripurari Purnima, is celebrated 15 days after Diwali on Kartik Purnima and marks the day when it is believed the devas (gods) descend to Earth to bathe in the holy River Ganga. This spiritual significance is why it is called the "Diwali of the Gods". The Purnima Tithi begins is celebrated on November 5, 2025 as per Drik Panchang. The Pradosh Kaal Shubh Muhurat is considered the most auspicious time for lighting diyas and offering prayers.
