In Ancient Buddhist teachings… ✨ The Buddha taught that there are innumerable Buddhas throughout the universe, beyond counting or measure. “Buddha” is not a god and not a fixed being, it is simply a word describing one who has fully awakened. And what has been awakened in one can, in time, be awakened in all beings. 🪷 Beyond countless Buddha-lands to the east, the Buddha of our world taught of Bhaiṣajyaguru, the Medicine Buddha, an awakened one who established a pure land through vast vows of compassion for beings suffering from illness, fear, and karmic obstacles. The historical Buddha taught that those who sincerely call upon the Medicine Buddha, recite his dhāraṇī, and aspire toward healing and clarity may receive benefit in body and mind and may be guided toward his Buddha-land to continue the path without hindrance. 🌿 In the ancient Medicine Buddha Sūtra, it is taught that 108 sincere recitations of the Medicine Buddha Dhāraṇī can bring healing, protection, and the easing of deep afflictions when practiced with faith and right intention. 📿 This teaching is not about clinging to names or forms. The name points to awakening. The practice points inward. And healing begins where wisdom and compassion meet. ✨ May all beings be relieved of suffering. May clarity arise. May the path unfold naturally. 🪷 For teachings rooted in authentic sutras and traditional understanding,
